DURACEM CEM III/A (S) 42.5 N is a blast furnace slag cement, which indicates that it is a Portland blast furnace slag cement that contains between 36-65% blast furnace slag (S), with the remainder being Portland cement clinker. This cement is specifically designed for use in environments requiring enhanced durability, particularly in structures exposed to aggressive environments, such as marine structures or infrastructure exposed to sulphates and chlorides. The “42.5 N” classification refers to its normal strength development with a compressive strength of 42.5 MPa after 28 days of curing.
